Professor David Morley CBE

The Founder and President of TALC died on 2nd July 2009. He founded the charity in 1965 after he returned from Nigeria where he had been working as a missionary doctor.

Recent tributes have been made to Professor Morley by the Royal Society of Medicine and the Institute of Child Health.

The Royal Society of Medicine

On Sunday 26th September, 2010 the name of Professor Morley was added to their Wall of Honour in the magnificent atrium of the RSM's headquarters in Wimpole Street, London.

The Royal Institute of Child Health

Professor Morley set up the Tropical Health Unit at the Institute in the 1960s.

The Institute decided to hold a symposium to honour Professor Morley on 18th October 2010, which was attended by over 200 persons including members of his family, TALC Trustees and employees, and many of his students who gave glowing tributes to his work and his teaching.
