The first three volumes (sold as a set) of this series are designed to assist workers in the field to encourage the development of self-reliant creative communities. Book 1 is a practical handbook describing Paulo Freire's theory of developing critical awareness and how to put this theory into practice. Book 2 focuses on the skills necessary for participatory education. Book 3 is a practical manual on the social information and analysis necessary to develop critical awareness and long-term planning.
