It suggests the equipment, instruments and supplies required for a primary and secondary level (district) eye care unit serving a population of 500,000 - 1,000,000. There is a list of suppliers provided to help in obtaining information (the list is not comprehensive, however). Basic hospital equipment and supplies are not included in the list.
