This 4th edition of the "Blue Book" is an interim edition pending wider distribution, by a publisher, of a newer book in 2007. It is written for the doctors, clinical officers, nurses and pharmacists in Uganda and other African countries. Section 1 concerns the Control of Pain, Section 2 concerns the Control of Other Symptoms in Cancer and/or AIDS patients, and Section 3 is addresses Antiretroviral Therapy. There are also useful appendices which include body charts, information on medicines used in palliative care, and useful history and examination records used by a Hospice in Uganda.
