Looks at the way communities can improve themselves by using outside experts and organising workshops and aiming to get the communities organised and motivated to proceed without outside help. To do this it is necessary to get the support of local leaders and choose motivators to keep the projects moving, and monitor what the local population wants. Also considered is the use of resources such as trees, forests and water, and human resources such as the skills of the local population, and financial and social resources.
