Within a community there are many situations where health workers and others need to work alongside, or co-operate with other people in groups. This book describes how to build up a local group and considers the qualities of leadership necessary such as leaders who command – can allow little discussion with group members. Leaders who consult and can then make decisions on behalf of the group, and leaders who enable can help the group make their own decisions. The book also discusses how to choose leaders and how they should conduct meetings.
