Stepping Stones: this award-winning 240-page training manual on HIV/AIDS concentrates on gender issues, communication and relationship skills. The manual contains full, closely-guided instructions on how to run workshop sessions designed to enable women and men of all ages to explore their social, sexual and psychological needs, to analyse the communication blocks they face, and to practise different ways of behaving in their relationships. The workshop aims to enable individuals, their peers and their communities to change their behaviour - individually and together - using the stepping stones which the various sessions provide. A 75 minute video is available separately in VHS or DVD format. For further information about the Stepping Stones training package you can visit the Stepping Stones website at http://www.steppingstonesfeedback.org.
This award-winning package has recently been cited by both WHO and USAID as an effective programme for addressing gender-based violence - which is both a cause and a consequence of HIV. More about these organisations' and others' reports can be found at http://www.steppingstonesfeedback.org.
