The STRATEGIES FOR HOPE Series aims to promote informed, positive thinking and practical action, by all sections of society, in responding to the challenges of HIV and AIDS. This book, subtitled: young people, sexuality and HIV/AIDS in three African countries, describes how NGOs and community groups in three African countries - Botswana, Nigeria and Tanzania - have pioneered fresh approaches to sexuality education and AIDS prevention, drawing on the lessons learned in the recent past. It is hoped that these experiences and strategies will help to inform other organisations and groups committed to community-based approaches to AIDS prevention among young people, especially in sub-Saharan Africa.
